Penny McCrimmon is running for County Council in the 4^th Councilmanic District of Baltimore County, MD and the 11^th Legislative District for the Democratic State Central Committee.

     A native Baltimorean and a resident of Baltimore County for more than thirty years, we need drastic improvements particularly in our education system, economic development, transportation, public safety and the environment. Please compare my background with that of the other candidates running and you’ll be convinced that I am the only candidate qualified to be elected the Councilperson to represent the 4^th Councilmanic District of Baltimore County, MD.  This District was created to be responsive to the needs of a predominantly minority population.  The promise has not been realized.  “Special Interests” still control this District.  During the 2002 election, I introduced the statistic that the 4^th Councilmanic District has the wealthiest per capita income in the County but receives less services than any other District.  This has not changed.  The other candidates quote my quotes without knowledge of the underlying influences.  

 THIS IS NOT AN ENDEAVOR FOR AMATEURS!!  THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST!!!  The well-being of the 4^th Councilmanic District is dependent on electing a representative who is qualified, has the skills and experience to perform the job and will be an advocate for the District.  I AM THE ONLY CANDIDATE WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF THESE QUALIFICATIONS.  Check out the “Why I’m Running" Page and the Issues page for more detail.
