I have been a dedicated public servant and volunteer in Baltimore County and with the Democratic Party for more
than thirty years. Advocacy has been my life’s mission sometimes to my own personal detriment.
On February 20, 2009, the Maryland General Assembly recognized me: Citation, Maryland House of
Delegate, on February 20, 2009:“In recognition of celebrating your tenacity and strength as a trailblazer and
champion for all people”. A few days later, I was recognized by the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland, Inc
as Our Unsung Heroes for 2009. My dedication to service of my community is well documented. My
opponents do not possess the same stature of credentials. They don’t possess any credentials of community or
political participation.
I am a resident of the 4th Councilmanic District of Baltimore County, I want to use the same arduous dedication
that I have contributed to every other aspect of my life to improve the quality of life in this District. I will
utilize my extensive policy, administrative, business development and political skills to finally bring the
services that the District is in deficient in line with the revenue that the constituents contribute.
Special Interest constrained this District for economic gain to the detriment of the citizens. Because of this,
our public safety has been compromised which directly impacts our ability to attract business development
initiatives. Our schools continue to deteriorate as gangs in our schools proliferate. I will work aggressively with
law enforcement to address this.
I have a workable plan to utilize the Social Security Administration, CMS and BRAC as an economic engine to
revitalize the District. I will work with our Congressional delegation to implement this.
Our older communities MUST be re redeveloped. Their infrastructure is deteriorating andyoung families must be
attracted to these communities to be sustained.
THIS IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST OR A POSITION FOR AMATEURS!!! I am the only candidate with the
requisite credentials, skills and background to be an effective Councilperson… to finally bring our District into
the stature it deserves and the services that we need.
